Bubble Witch 3

Bubble Witch Saga 3, Stella's home during the early stages of gameplay.

Wasn't sure what to think of the new addition to the Bubble Witch family especially with the recent (to me) Bubble Witch 2 still going strong. My first introduction to the Bubble Witch Saga series was through the first one that featured three seasoned spellcasters. Some countless journeys later I was introduced to Stella who was leading the cast in BW2.

The progress of levels was consistent with difficulty increasing steadily rather than immediately. Top irritants from series two: freeing the ghost, viruses and stages where its next to impossible to pass. Makes you wonder what series three will bring to the table.

Bubble Witch 3

Though skeptical, I gave the game a whirl. The game can be played on both PC via Facebook and mobile; though for me, mobile runs better. I've been playing for a while now and find this version a nice improvement upon it's predecessor. A major draw would be the activities outside of bursting bubbles.

Once the game starts you are introduced to a made over Stella. Just a normal day like any other till Wilbur shows up and kidnaps the Fairy Queen. Of course she jumps into action with her trusty friend Nero by her side. The first battle seemed promising especially when you actually have the evil kitty cornered.

Not sure how but the little fluff ball manages to get away while destroying your home property in the process.

Gameplay

Like the other installments, you have to meet specific criteria in order for each level to be seen as complete. A major change of pace at the start with a little bit of everything every couple of levels. So far, I've been tasked with clearing out bubbles, saving owls, clearing webs and helping a little ghost making it back to his friends.

Needless to say, you are granted a nice amount of free boosters along the way of which you mysterious run through rather quickly. Or at least I ran through mine pretty quickly. Another wondrous addition is the guidance system which was heavily needed especially when you get gameboards with tempting nooks that you can't get to without a little help.

As you progress, you will start to accumulate these bottles filled with a yellow substance along the way. Once you collect enough of these bottles, you'll be able to start the renovation process of your property with the help of the local fairies. Just pick the style and they'll take care of the rest.

My gameplay has been on and off over the past two weeks so my progress isn't at the rate it normally is when I'm playing games of this sort. The on and off isn't due to gameplay but because I keep forgetting that my phone doesn't have an infinite battery life. Side note: keep portable chargers and charging cables close by at all times.

All-in-all, this is a really nice game to play while on the go or just passing the time while you're waiting for a webpage to load.
