Farmville Tropic Escape
Totally unplanned discovery as I was just patiently waiting to collect my items from another game I was playing. Very hesitant to start playing especially since the unfortunate let down of things getting added in FV2 which caused slow loading. Though Country Escape was refreshing...
Sorry about that I got mixed up. Got Farm Heroes Super Saga jumbled with Farmville. Any who, my history with Farmville started with the original some years back where there was only farming of crops and some trees.
The graphics were simple but soon cravings lured me towards the second installment of Farmville 2. Everything was so bright, vibrant and easy to see. Farming was still my favorite aspect of the game (dealing with plants that is) then came the introduction of animals.
Still fun especially when they run to greet you upon entering the farm scene. Then came the land decor and water crops and selling stuff to get much needed funds. As a rant foretold a while back an addition of 'relationships' was added which made things, for me at least, not as fun.
After a serious break from the game overall, some wondering around was done. Not another thought was given to the game up till recently when an ad was spotted in the side the sidebar.
You're given room to work and grow while doing a little bit of everything around your little paradise. You earn income along with experience from deliveries and missions. At the moment I have three assists: Kate, Domingo and Chloe.
Kate delivers completed orders while Domingo and Chloe run expeditions. The Reef is the only location I have at this point so Clo and Dom explore there and bring back a variety of different goods. Which include the most sought after crab that's needed for grilled dishes and sushi.
Fish is also needed but we get this from the dolphin near the shore. One of the things that differ with this game when compared to its predecessors (haven't played all but some function the same) is the farming system. The old system had you purchase seeds for planting crops which worked out well till you ran out of funds.
Tropic Escape's farming system is based on a realistic-like farming system. Here, the amount of seeds available to plant is tied to the number of products you have on hand. Meaning if you have 2 pineapples and 1 rice plant on hand, you will basically have just those items to plant.
That said, for each seed planted the yield will be doubled. As an example: 2 pineapples will yield 4 plants. So if you find yourself running low on needed ingredients then take a break from crafting and spend some time building up stock by planting till your reserves are filled.
On another note, you will also need to keep tabs on the silo to ensure you have enough room to store the fruits of your labor; which for me are the pineapples since visitors are currently addicted to the pineapple drinks. The number of farming plots available is linked to level so plan accordingly. In addition to plots there are trees of which you have either one or two coconut trees from the start of the game.
In addition to planting and harvesting you have to prepare a variety of items using the Tiki Bar, Sushi Stand and Grill; which is all I have at the moment plus 2 chickens (egg source).
Having friends that play is like an added bonus of sorts as it makes things a little easier plus bonuses are in store. Even with that said, it's still a pain as certain attractions can only be accessed when others are involved; a major pet peeve of mine. There is lots to do once you get immersed in the game and some good resources for reviewing these tasks are:
I play on Facebook and wasn't aware of the mobile app till later. It's a fun game overall if you can look past some features that would otherwise drive one bonkers due to the limitations/access to certain items due to level requirements. Haven't played in a while but hope to get back to it once I catch up with my task list.
Till next time, happy gaming!

Welcome To Paradise!
Still new to the game overall but based on experience so far it's a refreshing take on the series. Yes there's farming but it's not overdone. There's a to the point tutorial that doesn't drag and things are nicely paced.

Tips, Suggestions
Still fairly new but I can say that it helps to save and not spend on everything. The main source of income as far as I can see is the order board. Complete as many as you came especially the limited time offers which yield large rewards.Having friends that play is like an added bonus of sorts as it makes things a little easier plus bonuses are in store.
