Hero Wars Dominion Era: April n May 2026 Edition

I have and I have not been keeping meticulous notes of my in-game experiences outside of boss fights. I'm actively playing, but there are days where you're just going with the flow. March was a big month in itself due to the anniversary event, yet there was a lot of other stuff taking place from then thru April that was difficult to keep up with.

The biggies were the events for new heroes and titans which were back-to-back. There were breaks in between but not enough to fully restock resources for active participation.

Beyond Winterfest: January thru April

Looking back, I haven't done a Hero Wars Dominion focused piece since Winterfest 2025. Starting January 2026, we have had new additions and big events every month. Fluffy came in January, Tidus & Gelo came in February, Byrna came in March and Lumira & Apollo in April.

I've fallen back a great deal on many in-game events. the 10th Anniversary Event was the last one where I was fully focused...up to a certain point. I think the Talisman was introduced but that addition in itself left much to be desired.

It's one of those new boost additions that you have to be careful and read the description carefully. Some are good and others are a nightmare. Like the ones that won't let you heal or earn energy during fights within the event.

The fights also became a bit challenging with the Talisman introduction. Recommended can't be built due to the unpredictable hero, titan, pet and skills drops. I remember being able to make it to the chapter with the Orange Gift of Dominion and sometimes the one after but that seems to have come to a stop.

In addition to the above, Cosmic Battle has made a return. Still my least favorite of the events especially with the banning of heroes.

May 2026: Missed A Lot

I took a break in mid-April and tried to finish writing what was started. That didn't work and May's events didn't help. Based on my intermittent check-inks, we got a new Cosmic Battle event with focus on Titans.

Wasn't hyped as it still had the same/similar treatment as the hero version -- ban phase and erratic match making with fights. Then there was a new hero event which, as a first, my activity levels were quite low. Especially when compared to the previous events where I managed to Absolute star the heroes during the event.

Moreover, I didn't level nor upgrade their stats like usual during the event. I did, however, manage to get their new skin through the season-like quest chain. On top of the new hero event, we got a new AoC (Area of Conquest) but it was geared toward titans.

Not sure how that was because I couldn't get into the game mode to participate. Despite being out of the loop I did manage to get a look at June's Calendar of Events along with get my Boss Fights in. Really going to have to go back to creating a task list to better keep up with things in-game. Hopefully June will produce better results.
