Gaming Update: December 2021
Of my two frequented games, I've only made substantial progress on one. Sorry to say it is not Hero Wars but Pop Slots. Despite playing daily, Hero Wars progress isn't going anywhere fast.
My blog check-ins were scarce for the year, yet some how managed to get some posts in. The following is what I've been up to since November.
Pop Slots (Android)

One of the original games that I started and am still playing. Recently made it to Level 102; would've been further but took a break some time back. There are still moments of fun, and moments of frustration.
I love it when there are events for earning wardrobe items. Completing tasks successfully will place you one step closer to get that much wanted item. Currently we're engaged in a Christmas Album completion task.
Completing a page will result in a new wardrobe item. So far, I've managed to complete four pages and received four new outfits. I have my sights set on the blue gown and hope to collect enough stickers to complete the page it's on.
Hero Wars (FB/Web)
Another of my originals that's still played. In my Leveling Gone Awry post, I shared some trial and error moments experienced over the years. My main account is still the go to for major events as it's the only account that can complete high level tasks.
Not much has changed outside of getting heroes caught up enough to hold their own in PVP matches. Campaign is slow going, yet I hope to make some progress in the coming weeks. Winterfest is just around the corner and I'm looking forward to obtaining some much needed items.

A recent yet brief addition to my mobile games collection. It plays just like the classic Solitaire games that were played for hours on end back in the 1990s on the computer. I sampled a few of the versions that came with the download, but found myself playing Klondike (Classic Solitaire) and Spider Solitaire on repeat.
While simple, I really enjoyed the aspect of customizing the appearance of the game. You could change the deck appearance, the card face designs along with the game board background. Really enjoyed the petals deck with pink roses in the background.
Word Trip (Android)
Word Trip is a find words type of game with the aspect of travel; the more words you find the more you travel. Much like the previously played Word Life game, you're provided with a collection of letters from which you're to form a series of words. Unlike the previous game, the letter blocks are laid out in list format.
The game was enjoyable; however, the dictionary needs expanding. Moreover, they need to improve how the game board gets filled. It's okay at first, but frustration starts to set in when the bulk of your found words go to the bonus bag instead of the game board.
Words to Win (Android)
This find words game is more similar to Word Life, because it has the same layout. I played through a few levels and was able to find all available words. After every stage, you're granted a bonus game where you have to match three to earn a reward.
I liked the idea of the bonuses after each stage; however, I didn't like the ads that played after every stage. Some of those ads were longer than they needed to be. On top of that, the skip option wasn't available which meant you were waiting anywhere from 30-seconds to a full minute before you were given the option to close the ad.
My Gaming Year In Review
Nine posts were made this year, yet only seven games were discussed. Three of the nine were dedicated to Hero Wars; no surprise there. The other games that were discussed were Winx Adventure, Double Down Casino App, Gamehag dot com, Ridge Racer 4, Soul Blade and Army Men: Green Rogue.
The vast majority are classics from years ago that I enjoyed playing during my free time. The classic mentions were the result of a cleaning spree where I was re-organizing things and came across some interesting finds. I'm very tempted to do a post on some classic games I still have that are in one piece.
There's nothing new-new on the horizon, but I am making plans to plan better. This is for the blog and everything else in general. The final post of the year is coming next week so stay tuned.
UPDATE: This was the final post of the year; was looking at the wrong week.
