Mad World MMO
Like always, I'm scouting for new games to play during my free time that can be played without special upgrades and such. By 'special upgrades' I'm talking beefed up hardware. While browsing some MMO (massive multi-player online) news sites I came across some that listed a variety of up and coming MMO games that were either newly released or due to be released soon.
I'm not a gamer by standard definitions but I do enjoy them from time to time. So after viewing the lineup of games due to debut soon, a list was made of promising contenders; that's games I'm likely to play if accessible. All game sites were explored and the process of weeding began.
After all was said and done I was left with two games; one of which was close to being played if not for a snafu. The unfixable snafu left me with no other option but to abandon it and move on. The last game on the list for me to explore wasn't up yet but the specs and back drop made it appealing.
Mad World MMO was the last one standing and probably wouldn't have made it past the screening had it not been tagged as an HTML5 game. My experience with HTML games have been promising as they didn't require add-ons for game accessibility. What's more, the game art exhibited in the samples were eye catching as they had a traditional, hand drawn appearance.
Based on the timeline featured on their site Mad World has been in the works for quite some time. The work in progress pages along the walls show the details and efforts going into creating a game that will surely stand out from the crowd. One of the key goals is to have a game that can be played on various platforms.
These last several months were filled with social media posts of sneak peek videos, game art and snapshots of unique NPC characters that will function as much needed pieces for reassembling the puzzle that is your chosen character's past.

When You Can Expect To Play
According to their Reddit page, release will be anywhere from mid-summer to early fall of 2019. At the moment they're currently engaged in testing to ensure everything functions as intended. I for one am looking forward to this game's release and hope nothing comes up out of the blue that will keep me from playing. To stay on top of the latest news from the developers, follow along on their social media pages.
